I must admit that I live for Midwestern summers. I am one for the humidity and heat, swinging on a tire swing, napping on a hammock, and catching fireflies. All these things bring me back to my childhood, and I have loved watching my children enjoy the very same things. We have had our share of serious thunderstorms, which I do enjoy, but these have been downright scary. My prayers and thoughts go out to those who have struggled through these storms.
I have had a hard time posting because I have been living in the moment a little bit more than I normally do. Above is a picture of our latest and greatest adventures, silo climbing. I'm not sure if this is something that will catch on across the Midwest or perhaps people already do it, all I know is that it was a fun-filled afternoon.
