Love/Hate

I have a love/hate relationship with winter.

On one hand, I find the cold to be completely invigorating, yet I find myself getting irritated at the whipping wind and frigid temperatures. Additionally, I find myself annoyed as I comb through my glossies wishing I could wear something so fabulous without covering it up with bulky coat and a fur lined hat right out of the movie Fargo. Now, mind you, Ladies, I have plenty of fashionable winter jackets and dozens of great boots, but for some reason, they don't cut it when it comes to the depths of winter. I suppose this is something I shall keep in mind as I make my wish list for Fall 2011.

However, I do love the way the sun shines on the snow, the silence a fresh snow fall brings, and the ambience of a crackling fire. The winter landscape also presents endless creative possibilities forme as I admire and observe the opportunity nature creates for me to capture with my camera. I shot the image above this past weekend as I was walking up our driveway. I hope I can brave the cold and

capture a few more moments like this.
